For one magical winter weekend, we'll gather in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains to slow down.

Your retreat includes: • All meals* from the Michelin-Recommended Restaurant at RT Lodge • Welcome gifts & surprises • Curated mahjong experiences • Fireside gatherings • Evening socials • Plenty of time to relax and play Mahjong (all supplies provided) • New friendships and memories • Full access to the property including peaceful walking paths, nightly fire pits with complimentary s'mores, and tranquil spaces designed for slowing down. Spa services in the new Carriage House are available as an optional add-on. Book early to guarantee your spot!
Lodging is not included. A special code will be provided to book your room at RT Lodge once you purchase your retreat ticket. Room rates begin at $259/per night.
This retreat is for guests who know how to play American Mahjong (NMJL Rules). Beginner Lessons will not be provided.
*Both Friday and Saturday Dinners, Saturday Lunch and Cocktail Gathering are included for retreat guests. Breakfast is included for guests staying on property at RT Lodge. Coffee, tea, soda and snacks are available throughout the retreat. Alcohol is not included except at Saturday’s Cocktail Gathering.

We chose RT Lodge in large part because of the exceptional culinary experience led by Chef Trevor Stockton. Under his guidance, The Restaurant at RT Lodge has earned a Michelin Guide recommendation, and we're thrilled to make his cooking part of our weekend together.
From the beautiful surroundings to the incredible meals, RT Lodge isn't simply the backdrop for our retreat — it’s part of what makes the experience so special.

This weekend is all about recharging! Start your morning slowly — whether that’s sleeping in or visiting the Spa. We’ll end the day with a movie night & pajamahj party!

Mahjong in the Mountains will be held at RT Lodge in Maryville, TN from January 29-31, 2027.

Sign up and pay your retreat fee to reserve your spot. If plans change, your ticket is non-refundable, but it is transferrable.

Lodging is not included in your Retreat Ticket. We recommend staying at RT Lodge for the most immersive and relaxing experience - plus Breakfast is included for anyone staying on property. Room rates begin at $259/night for single and double-occupancy rooms. You will receive a special code in your retreat ticket confirmation to use when booking your room at RT Lodge.

If you would like to enjoy the magnificent Carriage House Spa during your visit, we recommend booking your services as soon as possible. Refer to the schedule above to find the perfect time to enjoy a full, uninterrupted spa experience.

Mahjong in the Mountains is a hosted retreat experience. Retreat details, including activities, meals, schedules, and offerings, are subject to change as needed. Retreat fees cover the experiences specifically outlined on this page; lodging is booked separately by each guest directly with the retreat venue. Guests are responsible for reviewing and adhering to the venue’s lodging, cancellation, and payment policies. Any optional services or activities not specifically included in the retreat fee, including spa services, are the responsibility of the guest. By registering for the retreat, guests acknowledge that participation in activities is voluntary and assume responsibility for their own health, safety, and personal belongings.
